The crowd looks on in anticipation
The riders ready for participation
The green flag waves for the start
The rider swallows his heart
The cycle begins, like it has before
Like the knights in days of yore
Not with swords or sabres
But with pistons and rotors
But the heart of the rider is the same
As the Knights who they became.
Its the thrill of the chances
They make look like dances
Its the way we feel our heart pound
As the pilots race around
The bikes become steeds
and the crowds feed on speed
The momentum is crushing
As the moments come rushing
The riders begin to deliver
What feels like a shiver
When at last it is done
And a rider has won
There is a feeling of celebration
