Default David Coulthard announces his retirement - 03.07.2008, 17:56

It seems 2008 will be his last year in F1.
DC`s first ever race was in 1994, 14 years later he`ll step aside.
I have to say "Thank you DC!", cos the years in McLaren with Mika were simply the best !!!
Though it was about time for him to do that. I wish him good ending of the season and happy, long, cheerful life afterwards!

Here`s the article from F1`s official web site: The Official Formula 1 Website

DC talking about his replacement in the Red Bull cockpit

For me Sebastian Vettel has everything that a future winner in Formula One needs. Also his maturity and approach shows me that he is the best man for the job. So I am very confident that he would be able to do a very good job for Red Bull Racing.

I would much prefer to see him in some stronger team (f.e. Mclaren ), but DC`s words surely make me feel good! I can almost forgive him for bringing the boy out of the British GP ..........
Vettel champion!
