Well I finally found out what seats we have....well the general area anyway. We have been assigned Paddock Penthouse seating. I think that is right above the start/finish line.

So, now all that is left is to find out about VIP Villlage tickets or paddock passes...anyone heard any word on that yet?

if you want paddockpasses just to see the motogp guys, then you better forget it. As of 2008 they will be separated from the rest of the paddock, so that the VIP's feel privileged. So your only chance would be, if you get one from one of the sponsors or teams, i think.

Is any of the yellows from the States going to Indy ?? (Valegirl is)

I'm going to Indy, would be awesome to catch up with some USA yellows somewhere !

I haven't bought my tickets yet, where would be the best spot to sit ??

Is it cold there in September ??

I'm probably going to Indy by myself, none of my friends in L.A like motogp - one does but she has to work at some event..

Would it be safeish for me to go there by myself ??

Tassie, I do not know about the seating. I will be sitting with the Ducati clubs in a grandstand called Mugello Project. (Proudly wearing yellow! )

I look forward to seeing you there. As it gets closer to the race, maybe more info will be available to navigate around the track and we will find a place to meet.

September is a beautiful month with temperature around 23 c.

Some pics from the Indy test which is in progress, there seems to be a lot of grass, and not so much gravel .

Thanks for the pics, but I am the only one concerned about the last corner????????

Where is the run off, and how the hell can this track pass modern day safety standards?????????

On this day, what is Daijiro Kato's birthday.........is motogp intent on trying to ruin another family come September?????

The point of removing Suzuka was because the concrete walls were too close........so I have no idea how this is any better.

Even Olivier Jacque seemed a little confused

"The track was not difficult to get used to. It took maybe 10 laps. The track is quite short, and the biggest problem was getting used to riding against the wall," said Jacque of the 2.62-mile layout. "It's quite funny to ride against the wall because that would never happen in our circuit. Now, I'm only one metre from the wall, so you really appreciate the speed."

Seems a little wrong in these days to have tracks layed out like this

I still think that this GP is an error.
MotoGP is not a stock car competition.
Ask Lorenzo, Capi or Hopper what they think about falling onto the ground... without a wall.

Since 1993 and that awful day when Ayrton died, I thought that the words "wall" and "racing" were antinomic.
Hoping that nothing bad happens during a race is definitely not the right solution.

It's all about money.....big money can be made in USA if they can convince enough of the Americans to follow the sport...personally I think it's just about as big in America as it's going to get.....they like the nascar a lot more it seems.

I think it's going to be a big loss to Dorna, them investing in 2 American MotoGP races and for so long too......but will the safety commission pass this track at Indy? They have given their outlines as to what should be done but have they actually revisited it since to look for themselves? I don't think they have, have they?
