Here are a few picturs from last years race at misano. We were in grandstand A. Grandstand A was a honda grandstand last year and when we rolled up in our yellow t-shirts and hats we were politely given red hats and t-shirts and told to put them on. Grandstand B was yamaha so we aked if we could swap (joke). As it turned out there were two columns of seats that were for anyone and thats where we were seated but we still kept the stuff. The majority of seats for A and B were reserved by bike clubs. To be honest its not the best track for viewing and last year the atmosphere was not that good compared to other tracks - but it was the first year back so maybe it will be better this year especially when vale wins. We are going back to Mugello this year as the atmosphere was fantastic and the views better.
Our tickets cost an arm and a leg as you have to buy seperate tickets for each day in the grandstands. On qualifying it was better as there were quite a few empty seats but on race day our seats were on the first row which is never a good place to sit so didnt have a great view. All the grandstands are around one corner so you dont get a good view of the track. Also we could not walk around the track as each area is fenced off so we could not meet our friends who were in prato 1 - but we could wave at each other. On the picture you can see prato 1 (all the people on the hill).
If you go by bike all the houses opposite the track rent out their garages or drives - for about 10 euros for the day - secure parking!!! We parked in someones garage and our bike was still there when we went back!!
Grandstand A is next to the entrance to the pits so you can get some good photos when the riders slow down- like the one of Dovi when his bike gave up.
We had a fantastic holiday as we love Italy, the weather was great (we didnt go on the friday so missed the rain), there is so much to do and see in Le Marche you will have a great time.
