This surely is a BIG change in the middle of the season......

Rossi about Pedrosa; "There are times when I see his front wheel, and I don't know if he is in control or not.''

Wayne Rainey: "it's easier for a fast rider to learn not to crash than for a slow rider to learn how to ride fast"

Rossi about Elias: ''So now we know, and we'll know how to behave next time we meet him''

yeah and I doubt they will use it unless it is a realy realy big step forward!
it's just to much of a risk to change in mid season.

and I mean they are not realy bad right now..
If the bike would be grap like last year.. alright change..
but this year it isn't.
It just needs a little bit more horsepower......

It's confusingly amusing, bitter and tainted the picture u painted.
Just 'cause it's all in ur head doesn't mean it has to be in mine don't believe what u said, still can't get it out of my mind.

I guess u're the only 1 that nobody changes u're still the only 1 who will never change faces I guess u're the only 1 left standing when everything else goes down
yes u are the only one

so the laptimes were not much diffrent
more power for the bike means less agility.. I mean just look at the way the ducati behaves..
the yami is always ver smooth in the corner..

But with good acceleration after the corner and good top speed he can beat stoner.
After all he is king of breaking, so if they are on same speed level breaking would be crucial for winning right?

And that would be Vale....

I think Vale will see how bikes acts on the racetrack.
he will surely give it back to factory if it does not suit him.

I think Vale needs just new colours.
Like Assen, with good colours he always wins

No matter is it straight or not!

Default It's all matter of using power when needed. - 12.07.2007, 14:43

With my experience on different bikes. I can only say that how higher the speed, how earlier the braking. Even with carbon disks. Ok with carbon disk you can really brake late. With the bike that Valentino now has. He can hold a fraction of a second longer the trottle open than the Duke's and brake a little later than the rest. So it is to see where and on which circuit that top speed is useful. Torque is a major thing to have than top speed on curvy circuits. Top speed is good where you have a really long straight. If you can take look to races that already past of this year and take just the circuits with the longest straights. The Duke of Casey only past Valentino's Yamaha in the middle of the lenght of the straight. So it means that in the backstraight the yamaha does it well, but it is in the middle that it slacks. So torque is the most essential and good brakes.

And if you look at the remaining GPs, you will see long straights.
So a higher top speed wouldn't be a bad thing.
And we're talking about horsepower but pneumatic valves could also lead to a more regular acceleration. Which means more stability in the long curves.

longest straights:
Sachsenring: 780m/ Laguna Seca: 966m/ Brno: 636m/ Misano: 565m/ Estoril: 986m/ Motegi: 762m/ Philip Island: 900m/ Sepang: 920m/ Valencia: 876m

Top speed is necessary but don't forget that Stoner on his Duke couldn't follow Valentino in the Italy GP. And that in China and Barcelona Stoner had it quiet difficult due to the late braking and quick acceleration.

Jerry Burgess seems very excited by the new engine.
Will Valentino be patient and test it only after Brno?
