guys this is a bidding offer. bridgestone and michelin has to offer the lowest price possible. unfortunately, the japanese firm is known for not lowering their prices while michelin is at the brink of losing another grounds in tyre battle, but who knows, bridgestone have done it for f1.
maybe the debate is, should it be MICHESTONE or BRIDGELIN? Maybe it's not where an athelete's from
that makes us root for them
Maybe it's not the flag on their back
or the anthem that we hear when they win
that makes us cheer
Maybe it's that they are human
and we are human
and when they succeed, we succeed

but if Michelin comes back... then exactly how many of the acers will finish the race???? we all saw what happend to Vale... but if everyone has the same tyres all the racers will be going in the race to conserve their tyres and at the end of the day the fight will be to save the tyre and not for the top spot....
hope that doesnt happen... jus hope.... hope Bridgestone takes it... atleast everyone will be asured that the tyres will last race distance. | | Der Pinguin | | Posts: 7,735 Join Date: 20.01.2007

Rossi: Bridgestone the way to go
By Michele Lostia and Pablo Elizalde Friday, October 3rd 2008, 11:29 GMT
Valentino Rossi believes the move to a single tyre supplier in MotoGP next season will be good for the show.
But the Italian made it clear that he thinks Bridgestone would be the best option, as he reckons choosing Michelin would be a step backwards. "I really hope they'll choose Bridgestone, because it's logical to prefer the ones that go better," Rossi was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.
"If they choose Michelin it would be a big step backwards. I prefer Bridgestone also because things are more clear with the Japanese: you know what tyre your rivals are using. When I was with the French I'd could never figure it out. "But (the move to a single tyre) is a good decision because there will be a better spectacle, I'm sure. The tyres will not perform as good, so the rider will count for more. On top of that qualifying tyres will disappear, and that means being able to prepare the bike better for the race."
Rossi switched to Bridgestone tyres for this season and the Japanese manufacturer has been the dominant force over rivals Michelin.
The move to a single tyre supplier is aimed at reducing costs and speeds, but Rossi reckons that more work needs to be done to slow down the bikes. "I don't know if limiting tyre performance is enough, it would be better to also consider suspension and electronics. However on this front riders have differing opinions," he added. "At the beginning the single tyre will reshuffle things, and after that I think things will settle down to normal. "In any case Bridgestone seems like the most logical choice because these tyres have demonstrated to be the most consistent over 18 tracks, while Michelin has run into problems on some circuits. "However, it's still hard to understand the way the tyres will be chosen because we don't yet know the rules exactly."
1.
should vale not be a tiny bit careful what he says as long as he don't know who is supplier?
LOOOL
2.
this is maybe me beeing stupid, but why will it make qualifier tyre disappear?? The only one that nobody changes.
Still the only one who will never change faces.

Staind i agree with number 1 he doesnt want to piss off michelin in case they are the suppliers Are you thinking what I'm thinking that I think that you're thinking I'm thinking because if you think that I think what I think I'm thinking then we've got a problem? | | Junior Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,058 Join Date: 06.11.2007 Location: Malaysia Age: 40

I think when one tyre make rules applied, they will qualify with the same type of tyre that they are going to use during the race. FIM and Dorna is going to make MotoGP races run like F1 races. There's so many possiblities if they apply this rule. I hope it'll bring more good than damage. 2008 - VALE CONQUERED Qatar-5th, Jerez 2nd, Estoril 3rd, Shanghai 1st, Le Mans 1st, Mugello 1st, Catalunya 2nd, Donnington 2nd, Assen 11th, Sachsenring 2nd, Laguna Seca 1st, Brno 1st, Misano 1st, Indy 1st, Motegi 1st- 2008 World Champ , P.I 2nd, Sepang 1st, Valencia 3rd - 2008 World Champion | | Der Pinguin | | Posts: 7,735 Join Date: 20.01.2007

yeah tellin them using their tires would be going backwards...
they won't take that too positiv
I already see vale on wood tires...
Ryder Notes says today:
.... At the moment it feels like everyone is marking time, whether it's because the championship is tied up or because we're all waiting to find out who'll be the tyre supplier next year I can't say. We do know that Bridgestone will put in a proposal to be the supplier and that Michelin are still thinking about it. A totally unscientific paddock poll suggested that the silence emanating from the French tyre company means they are working on their proposal. If they were not going to goes this thinking, we would have had an announcement by now.
