why wouldnt they move the 125's up to 250 and then the 250's up to 600? or would that be too logical? Are you thinking what I'm thinking that I think that you're thinking I'm thinking because if you think that I think what I think I'm thinking then we've got a problem? | Today

So stop with the Motogp 800 cc class and go back the way it was
125cc, 250cc and 500 cc quit with the tractioncontrol and all of that not race stuff. Race like it always has been. To early on the gas you loose the bike to late in the brakes loose the bike again..........
I think that is racing when i am real honest i think the 250's is the nicest race class even better then the 800's......... And Yes.......... Vale is the only real world champion!!!!! MotoGP 2008 World Champion MotoGP 2005 World Champion MotoGP 2004 World Champion MotoGP 2003 World Champion MotoGP 2002 World Champion 500CC 2001 World Champion 250CC 1999 World Champion 125CC 1997 World Champion | | Top Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,839 Join Date: 21.05.2007 Location: Gold Coast Australia

Well the factories don't make 250's anymore so the natural progression is to go to what they do make which is 600's. I have a 600 and love it so I'm excited and can't wait!
Supersport is 600's so I think it would be 650's so they're not competing. | | Senior Sergeant Major | | Posts: 841 Join Date: 17.01.2007 Location: chennai, India

i love the 250ccs.... and in India we have the 250s... very much present... and Honda makes most of 'em....... as most of you have suggested adding one more class will be cool.... 125s 250s 600s 800s... but then again its the ppl with the money who decide... | | Top Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,839 Join Date: 21.05.2007 Location: Gold Coast Australia

Thats the point the Factories say they don't make them anymore so why not race what we make. 800 MotoGP bikes are 4 strokes. | | Junior First Lieutenant | | Posts: 2,056 Join Date: 14.07.2007 Location: Not up a tree outside Nicky Hayden's bedroom anymore Age: 10

Dorna are giving the 250's the boot because it just costs too much for the teams, and it stops smaller teams from giving the motogp series a go..
One of those 250cc bikes costs the teams over 1 million a year to lease..
Going to the 650 4 stroke, the cost per bike drops right down to as little as $100,000..
I certainly don't want to watch a series dominated by KTM & Aprillia..
Yawn ...
Bring on the 650's.. "Never mind the Bollocks" | | Junior Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,086 Join Date: 05.05.2008 Location: Bucharest Age: 28

look what KTM said : KTM Factory Road Racing Team to focus on 125 class in 2009KTM reopens activities in the 125cc Grand Prix factory team for 2009. Official withdrawal from the 250 cc World Championship.KTM is focusing its efforts on the 125 cc Grand Prix class for the future of the road racing world championship. The Red Bull KTM Team, under the technical leadership of constructor Harald Bartol, will be a newly formed factory squad. Next to the Spanish youngster Marc Marquez, American Cameron Beaubier, the successful protégé of the KTM MotoGP Academy, will be officially appointed to compete for the Mattighofen (Austria) factory. A further developed version of the 125 FRR will be deployed as a replacement motorcycle.
"We have decided for the GP 125 cc class because contrary to the 250 cc class, its existence is secured in the medium to long term", said Winfried Kerschhaggl, head of KTM Racing.
The company, which has for years encouraged the next generation with intensive activities in offroad and road racing activities, thus re-affirms this strong and long-term commitment to the smallest cubic capacity within the world championship competition. | | Junior Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,058 Join Date: 06.11.2007 Location: Malaysia Age: 40

They had moved the 500 to 990 and now to 800. Later the 250 to 600/650 and I have a feeling the 125 will follow suit to 400, all 4 strokers. 2008 - VALE CONQUERED Qatar-5th, Jerez 2nd, Estoril 3rd, Shanghai 1st, Le Mans 1st, Mugello 1st, Catalunya 2nd, Donnington 2nd, Assen 11th, Sachsenring 2nd, Laguna Seca 1st, Brno 1st, Misano 1st, Indy 1st, Motegi 1st- 2008 World Champ , P.I 2nd, Sepang 1st, Valencia 3rd - 2008 World Champion
