Default Any news on development on the bike during the 3 week break?? - 01.08.2008, 15:01

Hi I was watching the race and damn that wasa bloody good race I was excited and happy that Vale won but I would have like to see the race finish down to the wire to see who would have won.

I am worried that that Ducati is just a better bike and I was wondering if anyone knows of any development is done to the bike during the break to try and close the gap on the Ducati. Any information please let me know!!

Don't we all wanna know? I think that in the break it is not allowed to hold official tests but I am sure that the guys at Yamaha don't have a 4 week break so let's hope they do something to improve the bike.

As for Ducati being the better bike: it is and KC is a good rider (despite his antics and tantrums...) but then again, when Vale changed to Yamaha from Honda he was able to beat better bike and rider on an inferior bike. And he seems to have found a tactic for KC now

I for sure hope they are working hard on the yam, cause theres is no doubt that ducati is going to be very strong for the second half of the season. And kc only have one thing in mind, revenge. Vale needs to give 200 %, for the upcomming races, and so does Yamaha.

CONGRATULATIONS VALE

Sure they will be working hard on further developing the bike/engine but so will Ducati and the other manufacturers too......I just hope Yamaha get better results out of their development work during the break than the other teams do.

Yeah... fingers crossed for those "better results", lol.

They are probably gonna focus everything on the Yam's race start acceleration... stick with the shitbrick at the start... he can then be beaten with Rossi racing smarts. Cause otherwise... how fine did Valentino's Yammy go at Laguna? The little blue underdog won won won... beat the big red mean beast! How fine was it's handling?

And as everyone here knows, and said again and again last year... VR doesn't need a bike as good as KC's... just a package near enough. That VR as a rider can get the rest done... lot of pressure on him... but I think our boy is up to the task.

It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar!

If they are working on something in the summer break then they will probably test it after the race in Brno, they usually don't put developments straight on to the bike unless there is nothing to lose, for example Misano last year.
