Did you not see what happened with the 125 race and were you really so certain that the weather would hold throughout the MotoGP? If you were then you were probably the only person on the planet thinking that. Right up to the start of the race there was uncertainty. Even once the race was underway there was uncertainty and then it started to rain...things could have turned out VERY differently.

We talk about the weather because it is AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FACTOR in motorcycle racing. Sorry if it bores you but you will have to live with it.

Anyway, Ivi has not let us down so far and I am sure she will be able to find a suitable forecast for the weekend again.
The weather is a very important part of the weekend in racing. Tyre choices need to be made according to the conditions of the track. Track conditions effect the safety of the riders too and that is most important.

And if you are going to the race you need to have an idea of the conditions too

So true. I guess this is Vales track and the chance of suprise is minimum. But still i would like dry race.

Yep. A dry race where it stays dry and there is no threat of it doing any different - that is what I would prefer to see.

Rain may make it more exciting in some ways but it does tend to throw up some bizarre results and makes the whole think a bit of a lottery.
It also has the potenetial to make the whole thing far more dangerous than it needs to be. For the real experienced riders that may be OK but for some who might be tempted to push a little too hard given the conditions...it worries me. Look at Yorkay - he clearly does not have his own well-being in the forefront of his mind and is desperate for points. Add a drop of rain to that scenario and it is not looking good for him. The last thing we want to see is any serious incidents.

Also, for people who are going to be there in person (Vassili for one) the sunshine makes the day out far more pleasant.
