I'm not sure I can wait until next season so will just be cheerful that things are going well so far for him the season. He has shown that if anyone can get some performance out of the tyres it is him.
All those riders on Michelins need to thank Vale, too as, without all the fuss Vale made last year they would still be muddling through in their old laid back fashion. | Today

Yeah, bugger waiting until next season... And judging from VR's piqued demeanour on Sunday, he's not keen to use this year as a test run, either... Quote:

But that appears not to be the actual case... but then... soft-soft would make sense that his tyres would go...
See, VR is just too brilliant... he's gotta lose some of his talent and stuff and start to ride like all the others... the tyre dudes just can't keep up with him. That was in case I ended up with a merged doublepost...
Shangai was cold... Valentino won. Obviously the bridgestones are just fine in cold weather... KC won in Qatar... chilly.
Sachsenring was really hot... the bridgestones suffered... michelins were fine. So does that mean there is an argument for bridgestones sucking in both hot and cold weather? Sometimes the tyre companies might just bring the wrong range of compounds for a weekend, weather changes etc can throw things off. Bridgestone dominated Laguna Seca which was very hot, similar to the Sachsenring where they struggled. | | DIVA | | Posts: 2,209 Join Date: 01.07.2007 Location: Sydney, Australia

Actually, you're totally right. The tyre rule... limited amount of tyres for the week end... LOL, I'd forgotten about that, hehe.
But that translates pretty much to no tyre actually being the worst in a certain weather... there isn't really any evidence for it... just depends on their data about certain tracks and certain weather conditions... yeah? Well, there are certain situations where each supplier has a definate advantage, Qualifiers for Michelin, and Wets/Intermediates for Bridgestone. | | DIVA | | Posts: 2,209 Join Date: 01.07.2007 Location: Sydney, Australia

Mmm, but as for hot or cold weather? Thus this whole thread has kind of been a waste of time... all that earnest discussion about temperature... did you mention the tyre rule earlier, Tommm, on this thread?
