Very wise words of Valentino. But I say let them kick the sh!! out of them. They will stop one and for allways afterwards. That would calm them. See with Rossi and Biaggi. They rumbled and afterwards they apoligised to each other. I see some spanish teeth flying around, hihihi
So take a seat and watch the tempature rising.
For me it is for sure that Dani needs some a**whooping if he doesn't smile more.

Hello
Have you heard something about Shanghai dropping out of the 2009 calendar? I read that in one magazine, but it sounded more like a rumor and I didn`t see it confirmed nowhere so I thought one of you may know
BTW, in the article it says that probably it will be replaced by some Hungarian circuit
(not Hungaroring)

Yep, heard about it too but don't know how true it is. They said Shanghai want to only concentrate on F1. If they replace it with a circuit in Hungary, i think it will be good too as long as the circuit is technical and no obvious advantage to bikes with the highest top speed.

OK I found information on one german site and since I had nothing better to do I decided to translate it. Please take note that my mother tongue is neither German nor English, so I`m begging you, don`t make fun of me

Here`s the site:
Shanghai fliegt aus dem MotoGP-Kalender - Motorrad bei Motorsport-Total.com

And here is my translation:

The 2009 MotoGP Calendar slowly begins to clear its forms: After Dorna Chief Carmelo Ezpeleta renewed the contracts with Qatar and Portugal, only two of the present venues hang in the balance, more precisely - China and Malaysia. Especially the days of the China GP are counted.
The races at 4th of May are going to be the last at the Shanghai international circuit, as Ezpeleta confirmed. Instead of it there must be an Hungarian GP in the calendar. Up for discussion are the Százhalombatta venue (a town 30km away to the south-west of Budapest) and the picturesque village St. George near the Balaton lake. Hunagaroring is not an option for Dorna.

Almost certain is that the contract of Sepang in Malaysia will be renewed one more time. Floodlights for F1 will be installed at the Sepang International Circuit and of course they could later be used for the MotoGP events too, as it`s known that the first ever night race in the beginning of this season was a total success.

That`s all.

Thank you very much for the article and even more so for the translation - you have done a fantastic job.
(I got a little worried when I got to "Százhalombatta" bit, but that is obviously a place!!).

So...looks like bye bye China. Probably just as well that all our riders behave nicely while they are there. Better safe than shot or worse!

No prob. I hope it`s understandable. About "Százhalombatta" - I had problems spelling it too so I just used the copy/paste buttons (also - absolutely no idea how should I pronounce it)

I don`t like the Shanghai circuit very much so it won`t be a big lost for me, besides Hungary is much closer.
As Han said interesting is how the track looks and in what condition it is...

Well I had a brave attempt at spelling that word but in the end gave up and copied and pasted it.
As far as pronunciation is concerned I think it is something like "that place in Hungary the name of which we can't pronounce"

My husband had been toying with the idea of going to China with the added incentive of seeing the GP while we were there but I cannot say I am too sorry that it won't be happening.

Definitely a fantastic job!!!! No mistakes from what I can tell - and I know how hard it is to translate from a foreign language to a foreign language

Not so sure bout the bit where they say that the night race was a full success. IMO it was a bit dodgy and I hope that they won't do it in sepang.... especially since I want to go there next year and would prefer it in the daytime as Han said that the nighttimes are when you can meet the riders on the markets hehe

Agree! I had second thoughts about the veracity of that bit too, but eventually I decided that with "success" they wanted to say that there were no accidents, caused by the lightning. There can`t be any other explanation, right ?

PS: Jr, sorry to hear that your hubby`s plans won`t come true, but I`m sure you`ll find something better

Biaggi confirms availability for Desmosedici testing

Wednesday, 23 April 2008
Former World Championship star Max Biaggi has confirmed to motogp.com that he has received a request from Ducati to test the Desmosedici GP8 - and a date could be set for a Mugello outing in May.

Max Biaggi, the experienced former MotoGP star who is currently competing for Ducati in the superbikes championship, has revealed that he recently confirmed his willingness and availability to the Italian factory should they require him to test their current MotoGP prototype.
`What I can say is that they have asked me to be available to do this test and I have told them that I will be,´ the Italian rider told motogp.com, before stating that a date is likely to be set for Mugello in May.
Livio Suppo, Ducati Marlboro´s MotoGP Project Director, recently acknowledged that Biaggi and Troy Bayliss, who also rides a Ducati superbike in the production series, had both been put on standby to test the Desmosedici GP8 – with both having experience of premier class MotoGP riding.
The objective of any such move will be to help with further improvements to the Italian 800cc prototype which factory rider Marco Melandri and satellite Ducati pair Sylvain Guintoli and Toni Elias are struggling to get results on at present. Not one of that threesome has yet scored a top ten result in 2008 since moving onto Ducati machinery over the winter.
Biaggi, a four-time former 250cc World Champion who left MotoGP in 2005, explained the current situation saying, `My priority is the championship I am competing in, but they have asked if I´d be able to give my opinion on the GP8 in order the find a way of improving it. I have responded positively but that is all so far, talking about it too much is not worth it at the moment.´
Meanwhile, the 36 year-old, who was runner-up in the premier class World Championship on three occasions, said of the current MotoGP battle, `It´s a competition in which your technical choices are absolutely crucial and sometimes they help you, but sometimes they don´t.´
When asked who is his favourite rider on the present MotoGP grid Biaggi named the sensational Fiat Yamaha rookie Jorge Lorenzo – the young Spaniard who coincidentally counts Biaggi as one of his inspirations.
