as for the MotoGP web package €59.99 for standard and €99.99 for high resolution a year is a complete rob they should take note of world superbike www.worldsbk.com and give it away for free even if the stream is of a bit less quality but it does the job for me. | | Top Master Sergeant | | Posts: 671 Join Date: 20.01.2007

For the record, I watch for the races not the commentary too - why else would I put myself through the agony that is Jack Burnicle and Jamie Whitham commentating on WSBK?? Actually, to me the silver lining to this cloud would be if Julian and Toby took over on WSBKs, at least they sound like they know what they're talking about most of the time! "After many years of successful collaboration, MotoGP rights-holders Dorna Sports would like to announce that coverage of the MotoGP World Championships will no longer be available on Eurosport from the 2009 season," read a statement from Dorna.
"Dorna would like to thank Eurosport for a partnership which has been of mutual benefit for several years, having helped take MotoGP to new levels of popularity and coverage whilst also offering the pan-European broadcaster impressive viewing figures. "The decision is part of Dorna's new strategy of working with national network broadcasters around Europe, always focusing first and foremost on free-to-air coverage to bring MotoGP to wider audiences.
"This means that in the UK, the BBC will enjoy exclusive coverage of MotoGP next year, whilst in Spain and Italy, where MotoGP enjoys long-term agreements with TVE and Mediaset respectively, negotiations are ongoing about extending coverage to more hours during the weekend.
"In Germany, a deal has been signed with a privately owned free-to-air channel, giving the commercial network exclusive coverage for three years until 2011. Meanwhile, negotiations are ongoing in France and other major European territories with various mainstream networks; further details will be announced shortly."
The British Eurosport commentary line-up of Toby Moody, Julian Ryder and former 500cc star Randy Mamola is considered one of the best in the business, while Eurosport's extensive live coverage often includes all three days at each grand prix.
The BBC will be broadcasting both F1 and MotoGP next season, with F1 certain to be given preference in the event of a clash. | Quote:

It's Obviously now a FACT that Eurosport Viewers are in a Minority or else Dorna would have gave them exclusive rights.
Im off now for A beer and a Pickled Egg and at least it's something I wont have to bloody boil! | Erm...I never said you did say it was free...read on, it was Dorna who said it was the reason for giving the broadcasting rights exclusively to the BBC. Well to be honest I'm gutted that Eurosport are losing the coverage, the BBC coverage bores the pants off me and if I'm working I've had it as far as anything other than the 800cc race goes as you can't record off BBCi. Yes they have iplayer but it takes ages for them to upload it on to it and I don't really want to watch it on a laptop when I've got a perfectly good TV sitting in my living room. I've used the BBC Sport feedback page to let them know my views on the matter, hopefully others that feel the same way will also make their feelings known to the BBC. | | Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,290 Join Date: 06.06.2007 Location: Not where I want to be :-)

Im off now for A beer and a Pickled Egg and at least it's something I wont have to bloody boil! | But that's only €5.00 per race for watching it "LIVE" and you get pre-race coverage and podium interviews..., the whole ambiance of the race.
(How much is that beer and a Pickled Egg! If you gave up your pickled egg, maybe that is your key to a Motogp.com purchase! (Just a joke)!!!
If a lump sum of €99.99 is a hardship, you could put aside €10.00 each month starting now and by next March have enough to purchase the subscription.
Forget about comparing it to WSB. This is Vale we're talking about!!!!!
It is not a rob; just look what it provides you..... "Live" racing with Vale!
For the last three years, my subscription is one of the best purchases I have ever made, and my American money is not worth a whole lot when making the conversion. I am very thankful Motogp.com gives me the opportunity, because coverage in America is sad.

& how often is BBCi 'unavailable at this present time' and tells you to 'try again later!!!'
I get eurosport as part of my Cable TV, phone & internet package anyway, so I'm not paying just to watch it as I would do if I wanted to watch the football on one of the Sky channels. Hey guys !! don't be that mad!! I can suggest a solution
Here in Algeria, I can watch th races and for FREE!!!
The channel is as i said one time before,is called Aljazeerasport !!
you can find the comments in english and arabic...
there are 2 channels free Aljazeerasport 1 and 2(it's there where you can see the live coverage),but the only bad thing is that they don't show all the FP and QP, you can see only the race, but they show all the FP and QP of formula1, i don't know why
Anyway, if you are interested, you can send me a PM.... Vale is the best forever Simplicity is the morning coat of perfection
