Maybe if it's fully on, BBC will give more coverage.. I hate when they don't show the podium let alone the press conference after the race..
Yeah I watch both with no problems that's a good point. 125 & 250's may clash but 800's won't, never have. The British GP was moved ahead so it didn't clash with the French F1 GP.

I get the feeling that not showing the podium or official interviews may be contractual, but I'm unsure.

Because F1 is on BBC next year . I guess it depends on how much build-up they give each event, they should just stick proper full Motogp coverage on one of the bbc freeview channels, I'd rather that than have brief coverage on bbc2 or being swapped around every week.

F1 is on BBC next year also,

We dont get anything apart from the main race in Ireland and we cant watch it on the BBC website iPlayer.

Still sucks as Charlie Cox and Steve Parish are so boring, but I guess we will see more of Suzie, which is never a bad thing.

They may even give the eurosport guys a job.

I think dorna are off their heads. If they know that euresport is more popular, and the commentators are better, why are thay taking tham off the air?? It's so stupid. BBC really annoy me, they dont show anything good. It wont be a MOTOGP weekend without Julian and Toby, and Randy winding me up in the nice way that they do. ( I dont mind it) and without the amazing eurosport build up. No more podium, no more press confeence, no more 125 and 250s and free practice and qualifying. I am out when ever thay are on, so i record them, i cant do that now. this is so unfair.

Have you actually checked out the BBC coverage?

All I've done since this story broke is inform people that they do show 125, 250 & most qualifying. & that when they have exclusivity they will probaly show even more.

true enough, I have never liked the eurosport coverage when Ive seen it

the fact of the Matter is that eurosport is showing to much and should concentrate on WSBK and BSB (Palmers Fault, Should have been on ITV4, which is free). So the most logical choice is to drop the coverage of MotoGP As the BBC is willing to carry on doing it and does a good job, in order to improve the coverage of the other two series.

All said and done the 125's and 250's commentry is provide by Nick Harris as it's the same feed as per the MotoGP website.

What I don't get with all this is since when has watching anything on the BBC been free? Isn't that what we HAVE to pay our TV Licence fee for every year!!! Maybe Dorna needs informing of this little matter they have apparently overlooked when ending the MotoGP coverage rights with British Eurosport.

The coverage on the BBC is just so dull and emotionless....& lets face it the Aussie bloke who commentates on it is bloody rubbish on a good day. Does that bloke have any idea or what? The things he says are just so pointless.....is he just there to fill in the long dull pauses between the dull commentary with meaningless and pointless jargon or what? & to think he is actually being paid for what he does! The mind boggles.

Yes and unfortunately because of GAA/Euro 2008 coverage, MotoGP was shown last week it was not the first time this season it has happened, and only gave a 30 minute high-light show in the wee hours, though the coverage is not the best! But least we have the Beeb!

Have you??? Or, more to the point have you compared it with the Eurosport coverage??? The commentary is so bad that it would turn off even the most ardent fan!

We switch to the Beeb when Eurosport goes to ads during races but we can't wait to turn back - it's like listening to paint dry, they suck all the enjoyment out of it

AT what POINT did I actually say the BBC is FREE? ITV4 is Paid for By Adverts

Lets put this way the sky basic package cost's £16 a month on top of the TV license AND You STILL GET ADVERTS.
TV License 11.62 a month and NO ADVERTS for the MotoGP.

While I appreciate that the BBC commentary is not to everyones taste, Even though I prefer it. It's avaliable to everyone with a TV.
Even My brother who was once an Avid eurosport viewer Now watches the BBC as He prefers it even though he still has eurosport to watch WSBK
etc.
It's Obviously now a FACT that Eurosport Viewers are in a Minority or else Dorna would have gave them exclusive rights.

OR LIKE I SAID there have been compaliants from the BSB and WSBK fans as eurosport is trying to be all things to all people or "Jack of all trades, Master of None" and one has got to give and MotoGP is the obvious choice
as the BBC is willing to show it.

Im off now for A beer and a Pickled Egg and at least it's something I wont have to bloody boil!
