Okay, not the greatest survey Motogp.com have had to start this thread off... WILL ROSSI BE ABLE TO GO HEAD-TO-HEAD WITH STONER IN 2008?
I voted yes... tyres were such a huge deal last year, we probably could have had at least 4 more races that resembled Catalunya if the Michelins hadn't decided to chew themselves on the track... or even 4 more Assens! (Now that would have been fine...) It seems also that Yamaha have finally given the M1 some more grunt. Add Rossi's total skill and talent... yeah, I think he can go head to head with KC this year.
At time of posting this, poll count was: Yes: 6423 No: 1881
Previous poll was whether Michelin will come out on top of testing again this year.
I voted yes. That soft rubber that ruins their race tyres obviously suits qualifying beautifully and bridgestone obviously don't have something as soft and supple... with testing nearly over, and KC doing well, might prove me wrong... alas, don't remember which was winning the survey, though! It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar! Yeah... actually, the question MIGHT end up being whether KC can go head to head with Valentino... tyres and power differentiation taken out of the equation... KC might find himself struggling... that Dani was able to take him out the minute he didn't have crapola tyres... KC might find himself battling for third and fourth... here's hoping!
Oh, and I intend to add all future motogp.com surveys to this thread... if I'm in the wilderness and forget... anyone who sees that a new poll has been started on the website... please add it here... It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar! God, what is with motogp.com? Can they have any more crappier survey's to start the year off?
I voted for Valentino (who was leading the vote at about 10,000, KC next with about 7000 I think) just cause he's my main man on the grid, but honestly...
The racing used to be about the track and the rider (and obviously with no tech probs or crashes) and who got it done on the day... VR was always the best bet because of his talent. But after last year, where it became so much about the bike itself and tyres... that different bikes had wayyyy different levels of development... frankly, WHO THE F*CK KNOWS WHO IS GONNA WIN?
Pretty exciting stuff, though. It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar! Valentino Rossi: The smartest, cleverest, bestest, hottest, sexiest, sweetest, finest f**ker on the planet today.
