Default Ur Opinion About Rossi Consideration for Ducati - 11.11.2007, 05:33

I'm against it!!!!!

First: He was mentioning Ducati is similar to Honda. They have same principle like Honda. They'll change the rider whenever they want it. Bike is more important than the rider.

Second: He would not gain any respect from any people moving to Ducati. Stay with Yamaha and win and leave. Not leave before winning again. Win like and lose like a man.

Third: Why should be Ducati why not Suzuki? They are not bad to me. They improves a lot. I think Yamaha now focusing on their marketting. How to sell R1 and R6 as much as they can while Rossi still on Yamaha. So they have an 'image' that Yamaha is fast bike although it is not.

Note:
Unless Vale wants to bluff Yamaha to have big move. big improvement. I don't think Ducati will accept Rossi as a rider after Rossi mentioning Ducati similar to Honda. Rossi would only get embarrassed by Ducati and other riders.

I think he should go to Ducati but only after winning another title on the Yamaha. Once he's proven he can beat Stoner on a ducati he has nothing left to prove. Then he can go and be on an Italian bike which I thnk would make him happy.

Actually, always talking about Ducati... it might be to annoy KC. And I imagine it would... perhaps this is one of his first strikes in the battle of the words that KC is obviously been keen for... Ha! Stick it to em, Valentino!
I don't care which bike he's on... with his skill, it's irrelevant. He makes them all sing. But to win... I don't care either... as long as he's able to compete... the yam on bridgestones might get it done... who knows?
I don't think he'd be a sore loser if he changed from yamaha without winning first. It would be sweet if he did win the WC with them... but he's not a rider out there just filling the ranks. He's out there to win. What's the point of wasting time with a manufacturer that doesn't share that burning ambition? Why bother putting your body on the line every week end? He loves riding bikes, but it isn't just for fun. The fun is the icing on the cake. And he deserves to leave the sport at the total top. Nothing less would do him justice. And his records have to be kept intact. And added to. They're getting shot down at the moment, and that sucks. So if Duacti can help him get it done, so be it.

It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar!

Valentino Rossi: The smartest, cleverest, bestest, hottest, sexiest, sweetest, finest f**ker on the planet today.
2007... it's still gonna get it's ass kicked!
2007... it's HISTORY!

I kinda agree with you all on this one so far....but what we find out about the teams and what's going on in the background is less than 1% I guess. Only Valentino is aware of all the facts about what's really happening in the background and what his chances are likely to be if he stays with Yamaha or goes....so far Vale has managed to make the right choices in his racing career and I have total trust in him to carry on making the best choices in the future, there's been no reason for me to doubt his choices so far.
Whatever Vale decides is all good for me, he's not daft or impulsive in matters such as these and considers every little thing when he's thinking about his future....I have complete faith in him & what he decides to do & will until he gives me reason not to....so far he hasn't done that.

I just hope Ducati doesn't give embarrassing response after Rossi saying his intention to consider Ducati.

What I want to hear is KC comment first.

I just don't like him. He thinks he's champion now. But not like most people think. ( which makes KC upset and gave comment about it).

I still like Hayden over KC or even Dani is better than KC.

so heres what Livio Suppo has to say, from Autosport news

Ducati boss cautious on Rossi future talk

By Michele LostiaMonday, November 12th 2007, 12:06 GMT

Ducati team boss Livio Suppo was cautious when responding to Valentino Rossi's comments, in which the Italian rider hinted at a future with the team.
Rossi suggested he is ready to leave Yamaha at the end of 2008 if his bikes doesn't prove competitive next season.
"If it gets better I can wait another year. If not there is nothing left to do," Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have a good relationship with both (Ducati and Honda), but definitely I would prefer Ducati because they are Italian."
Suppo knows Italian fans would welcome the move, but the Ducati boss is cautious about the prospect of the seven-time champion riding for them.
"It's definitely too early to talk about 2009," Suppo told Gazzetta dello Sport. "And then I must be careful: whether I say a yes or a no, it will be interpreted in any case in a misleading way.
"I can certainly say that, from some fringes of our fans, we get the request, or rather the desire, to see Rossi on our bike, in order to come up with a fight with Stoner on truly equal footing.
"We've never talked about it explicitly, but like every racing rider, Stoner has always made it clear that as far as he's concerned he can be teamed up with anyone. In my opinion he is in such a state of grace that he wouldn't be afraid to be challenged.
"We have a deal for the next two years with Marco Melandri, we count a lot on him, and a three-year deal with Stoner. We'd like to extend it with Casey (Stoner), and maybe he'd like that too, as one of his idols is Mick Doohan, who was always with Honda.
"Anything can change, but Casey seems willing to go his way with us."
Suppo also denied rumours that Ducati are preparing a third bike for Rossi for 2008.
"I've heard this rumour too and I really can't figure out where it originated from," he added. "I don't think something like this could be done without me knowing about it. So I say that it's absolutely impossible, for the simple reason that the bike doesn't exist.
"The parts to build it have simply not been ordered. At the moment the mechanics are building the bikes, but they are Casey's and Marco's which will have their debut at the end of the month in Jerez."
He added: "That was an operation meant to be done with Loris (Capirossi), who had been with us for five years, from our debut to now. Frankly thinking of something like that seems hasty to me. At least at the moment: Valentino himself says that it's absurd. Season apart, let's call it a mid-summer dream.
"I'm happy about the 9 (marks out of 10) Rossi gave us: it shows the appreciation for the work done this year. Besides, it's true that that admiration goes two-ways.
"However, if he marked his season with an 8, he should have given Casey a 10 since he has made no mistakes."

Rossi's turning into a bit of a drama queen!

In his book, he said he turned down going to Ducati because they were too much like Honda, only bothered about their bikes not the riders. Now he wants to move?

Anyway, Casey and Marco are contracted to ride in 2009 too so where will he go?

I think I agree with Catty on this - I think he is saying this more to rattle Stoner's cage than anything else. Vale is playing a little game.

Stoner was not happy about Vale changing to Bridgestones. Why? What difference was it going to make to him if the tyres had nothing to do with him winning?
So Vale has now got Bridgestones.

Vale then thinks to himself "How can I make the little boy quake some more? I know, I want the same bike as well!"

I think that KC hasn't squealed yet because he cannot find his voice. Blind panic can affect people like that.

This year was the tax thing... now next year will be Duke one?

I think that Vale knows what's better for him! But also I think that it would be better to change factory after being WC again with Yam (what will happen in 2008).

We can't forget that he's angry with Yam because he asked it to improve his bike since season's begining and Yam did nothing! Hey, he run with a broken hand!!!!!!! So if he leaves Yam because it made no progress, I don't think he's wrong! Imagine yourself doing the best you can (and what you can't too) for winning a home race and your bike just stroke? Or running with 3 broken bones and a huge pain just to hold 2nd place and you engine blows?

Now he has good tyres but is still worried about the bike! I do'nt think Vale's wrong on thinking to move to Duke!

He was 6 times WC in 2 Japanese factories and only one time in an Italian one! Maybe he just want to be WC in an Italian factory, that's why Duke and not Kawa or Suzuki!

PS: I'm not sure but when Vale left Honda he could choose between moving to Duke or Yam, couldn't he?

Gi
