He was engaged to Samuela De Nardi at one time, but I think they may have parted now. Samuela is a racer too. Very pretty girl as well. I have a picture somewhere I will find it for you.

APRILIA AND SAMUELA DE NARDI, COLLABORATION CONFIRMED FOR THE 2007 SEASON

The relationship between Aprilia and Samuela de Nardi has been renewed for the 2007 season as the 22-year-old Venetian rider gets ready for the Italian and European women’s championships. It is a collaboration that is entering into its 4th season and rewards Samuela after a 2006 that, although it was compromised by annoying tendonitis (now resolved definitively thanks to surgery), didn’t stop her from beefing up her resume with an irrefutable victory in Rijeka.

“Last season – recounts Samuela – I had a long series of pole positions that I wasn’t able to convert into victories. The objective for next year is to at least repeat the great work of 2005 that I carried out together with Aprilia. I am happy to ride the RSV 1000 again, it continues to be my bike of choice as it best exalts my personal riding style”.

“Samuela has solidly demonstrated her sporting ability – declared Leo Francesco Mercanti, Aprilia Brand Manager– She is fast and has a strong, determined character. She has brought us fame these past couple of years, contributing to Aprilia’s sporting image in the female public and obtaining prestigious results that were at times unexpected. I believe that she absolutely deserves this title of official rider”.

Born in Castelfranco on March 19, 1984, Samuela De Nardi began her motorcycling career when she was only 4-years-old atop the minimoto. After a period in the cross, she began to work on her speed in 2000, closing out the Challenge Aprilia 125 in 13th place overall. The next year she won the overall classification of the Trofeo Alpe Adria 125.
After just one season with the Honda GP 125 came her debut with the Aprilia Tuono 1000 in 2003. With that motorcycle came her first spotlight after a well-deserved 4th place (with Stefano Cordara) in the European Endurance Championships in Rijeka and a 3rd place in the Italian Female Championships (in which she participated sporadically). At the end of the season, Aprilia awarded her for her great results, having her race in the Superbike trophy at the MotorShow atop the world-champion Supermotard Aprilia SXV. In 2005, she passed to the RSV 1000 Factory with which she triumphed in the European Female Championships, she finished 2nd in the Italian championship, and was the first Italian woman in history to participate in the 8 Hours of Suzuka, winning the Superstock category.
In 2006, she finished 3rd in the European Championship, winning the Rijeka trial and closing out the Italian championship in 5th, winning four pole positions and recording four of the five races’ fastest laps.
