I'm glad you brought up the "back in the farms" thing too, because I have to hand it to him and his family. They sold their farm to move to the UK to help Casey with his racing, they slept in their van, and they weren't handed anything. I also read that they started a program to help kids get their foot in the door, as they remember how hard it was for them with no connections. And I agree his bike is pretty awesome, but someone has to be able to ride it. There are 3 other Ducatis out there, aren't there? He is young, and maybe not real sure what a "good champion" is supposed to do... | Venus, you are new here so let me give you the heads up - this is where we diss the Whiner. We are Vale fans round here and we have all watched the Whiner and his consistent bad behaviour with increasing disgust over the last 18 months. If you look in the other 'other riders' threads you will see that Whiner is the only one we treat like this - there is a reason for that - he deserves it! I'm sorry if that appears harsh but its just the way it is - I made a conscious effort to give the guy a break at the start of this season and let him prove my opinion of him wrong - and he failed - BIG TIME. So if you want to chat with people who like him, or even have a good word to say about him I'd try his fanclub forum if I was you - but I hear it's pretty sparsely populated..... Oh....speaking of 'heads up' you should check out the latest pic on the Randy De Puniet thread.... World Champion in 2008 and greatest rider EVER!

OK maybe this year he had a point were some of the fans are concerned but last year was all his own doing, yet he expects people to forget how he complained endlessly about everything in Britain-the very place where he got his so called foot in the door to MotoGP racing....has he ever said anything good about the British or Britain? Not that I'm aware of. Maybe if he was brought up with some manners and was shown to give gratitude when it was deserved he would be closer to being that "good champion" - well he would in my opinion.
This is not just an opinion I have, even Valentino commented on the very same thing recently....you get respect by giving respect. Respect is something that is earned & not demanded! oh thanks for the heads up. I guess if you have nothing bad to say about Casey, you can't be a Valentino fan. How stupid. Don't tell me to go to his fanclub forum, I belong here. I am not going to be pressured into dissing Casey, I will say whatever I want, I don't have to dislike him. Let me give you the heads up, everyone is entitled to their opinion.. that's what a "forum" is for. Quote:

I imagine you would have more experience in that area...

This is Vale forum and yes everybody entitle to their own opinions. I never dislikes Stoner or anything of the sort, I sometimes praise him too. But he did have a very complicated attitude, I must say. The majority of it also not very good in my opinion. But he prove himself quite well too. I guess he's raised like that, can't blame him. Anyway, it's good that you like him. Just stick your mind that majority of us are Vale fan.... 2 years of disappoinment? I guess I can't be a Valentino fan as well? hmm weird. I happen to think Valentino is the greatest of all time, he is a showman, a great sport, and I love his attitude and charisma. Jesus, I can't believe this. I'm pretty sure its OK to love Vale and not hate Stoner. yep pretty sure about that. | | Second Lieutenant | | Posts: 1,341 Join Date: 06.06.2007 Location: Not where I want to be :-)

Hi, Venus
Please don't be upset. You will come to learn that this forum has people who express very strong opinions.
You are very much in your right to feel the way you do.
These "other rider" threads are like dart boards.
It's okay that you don't have darts to throw! | | Senior Sergeant First Class | | Posts: 445 Join Date: 20.12.2007 Location: malaysia Age: 28

I've been experience it a lot of time.
I don't think it's a crime to like whoever you like but you must also state it on the right page. Thats all. Quote:

You loathe Dani... others loathe KC... it's pretty much as simple as that... love some, hate some... I believe they are all fair game for a serving! Even Valentino... Helen's completely right. This isn't a general motogp fan forum for general discussion and general fanship. It's VR's fan forum... which means there is no obligation to be reasonable, fair or respectful to any other rider but Rossi. About 10 to20 pages back, MAK put a post about the history of these fan forums... that this place used to be filled with Max Biaggi fans all paying out on VR... and that his own fan forum trashed VR all the time. So this is where these fan forums are geared to bias in favour of the rider they are dedicated to... Quote:

This is not just an opinion I have, even Valentino commented on the very same thing recently....you get respect by giving respect. Respect is something that is earned & not demanded! | I can hear strains of "Land of Hope and Glory" when I read this... funny, you brits, all hotly defensive of Tosserland and England... hehe. Cute. I honestly don't know if he has said anything good or bad about Britain, I haven't read anything about that. I imagine you would have more experience in that area... | See, no one is saying you can't like both... but to like both, you have to be prepared to hear anti KC stuff on Valentino's fan forum and be aggravated. To hear a more even keeled discussion, a general motogp website would be the go. The only requirement to be in this forum is to be a Rossi fan... after that, it's open slather! (You read the Jorge thread? It's total Jekyll and Hyde stuff... some love him, others hate him... but we have to give way to each other because this being Rossi's forum... you can't take issue with what each other thinks about Jorge! But if I was on the Jorge forum... I think I'd be banned by now, lol.) Quote:

Seriously, in every other rider thread, you will find a mixed batch of love and hate for riders... but the only one thing bonding us... being Rossi fans!
If KC is doing that programme to help other young riders get a start... I think that's great and well done to him and shows he has a sensible streak. But I still think he's a total f**khead though and hope Rossi kicks his hairy red butt into tomorrow! It's taken one and a half racing seasons, but finally, Rossi has broken Stoner... and smashed him like a guitar! 2007... it's still gonna get it's ass kicked! 2007... it's HISTORY! Forza The Marco Simoncelli Hair Appreciation Team. World Champions!

But people who express very strong opinions and who are more agressive exist everywhere around the world And everyone will have a dartboard on their back. I dont believe anyone had never been 'thrown at' this lifetime. Just take it with a pinch of salt.
