Forum Rules
The following rules are not meant to stop you from saying what you want. They are however a means to an end if we want to keep this forum clean and user friendly. The best way to see these “rules” is to see them more as guidelines (insert Pirates of the Caribbean pun). By becoming a member of this forum you agree to follow the rules and regulations set by the moderators and administration.
The rules: To keep our threads clean and user friendly we would like you to keep one word in mind: Respect We are here to have fun and talk about Valentino Rossi/MotoGP related subjects. Even if you don’t agree with someone please respect the other person’s opinion. Nobody likes to be flamed, offended or bullied by other members. Everybody is entitled to their opinion as long as it is on topic, therefore no insulting comments about:- Religion
- Race
- Gender
- Ethnicity
Basically, no negative comments directed to a member personally instead of discussing what he/she says. Also hurtful, discriminating or pornographic pictures, links, videos, avatars or signatures will be removed immediately. Continuous flaming/ insulting will result in being banned from the forum. Never start a fight with a member or a moderator in a thread as this will kill the joy for the other users on the forum. We are not here to argue or fight with each other, but to talk about topics approved by the moderators. Forum regulations ØWe all like to know who we are talking to, therefore please only use one account. If for some reason you don’t like the account any more delete it and then create a new one. Do not create more than 1 account. ØTo help keep the forum clean and user friendly we ask you to keep it clutter free. This can be done by posting a comment in the thread it is intended for and by not starting the same thread in different forums. ØPlease do not ask for pictures and videos which are protected by copyright. The copyright party can take serious measures if its products are used without permission. To protect our forum it would be best not to ask for links to copyrighted material. For help on netiquette you can go to this link:

What happens when you don’t follow the rules? When you either accidentally or intentionally break the rules a moderator will tell you about this. This can be in a thread itself or via a private message. If you still decide to not follow the rules, the administrators have no choice but to remove your account from the forum. This is needed to protect the other users on the forum and to keep the forum clean and user friendly. The moderators and administrators have the last say in an argument; therefore try not to have one in the first place. Remember that moderators and administrators are here to help and do not have the intention to remove your account.
What should I do if I have a question or complaint? The moderators will try and do their best in solving problems with the members themselves, before they take more serious actions. When you have a problem regarding a post/thread or just a question and there is no moderator online at that time, the best thing to do would be to send them a private message. They will definitely get back to you, but keep in mind that they are people with private lives as well; therefore it may take a while before they react. They will however always take your questions/ comments seriously and try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you have a problem with a post, moderator or a member try to contact them directly via private messaging, but never start a thread about the complaint, as this will be removed immediately. We want to keep the boards clean and user friendly. We need you to help us achieving this by taking problems to the person whom it concerns. If you have a problem concerning a moderator you can send a private message to the forum administrators. They will look at both parties involved and try and solve the problem. They have the last say in this. There is no higher party above the administrators.
When will a thread be closed? A thread will be closed if there is a discussion subject or tone that is not user friendly (see the respect section for more detail). A thread can also be closed if the moderator feels it is in the wrong forum and if it is irrelevant (this can happen when someone starts a thread that already exists as a “sticky” thread). Threads created to complain about closed threads will also be closed and the creator can be banned in the worst case. If you want to make a complaint about the closed thread please send the moderator involved a private message (see What should I do if I have a question or complaint?).
What happens when someone is banned? Every user is responsible for the contents of his/her posts. If a user gets banned from the forum, he/she will not be able to register again with another username. If a person tries to register again with a different email address and username and is caught, he/she will be banned again. The more serious measure taken for people who keep on re-registering to cause trouble on the board will be to inform the user’s internet provider.
So, what is it that administrators and moderators do? These are the people that make sure the forum stays clean, clutter free and user friendly so that you can enjoy your time here. They are allowed to stop a discussion at all times and in some cases even closing/deleting threads which are considered to be offensive and not in line with the forum rules. The moderator can do what he/she feels is right by following the rules and will always act in best interest of the users of the forum (they will never delete messages or threads to tease users). They only have to explain their action to the administrator (nonetheless if you would like to know the reason behind an action, you can send them a private message). Do you have some tips and suggestions on good use of the forum? If you would like to start a new thread, use the search link to see if there aren’t any other threads on the same topic. This will us to keep the forum clean, clutter free and running smoothly. If you have done so and the results show no threads on the same topic, make sure you create a clear topic title. This way, the others users will know immediately what the thread is about. Unclear: Vroooom vroooom Qatar. Clear: Talk about the race in Qatar. Please do not create threads with a question for a particular member. The fastest and easiest way to contact a member is by sending them a private message. As soon as they log on to the forum they will get a pop-up message telling them they have a private message. Try to combine posts as much as possible; this will help keeping the forum clutter free. If you have already posted your message, but realise you have forgotten something you can still edit it.
If you still have unanswered questions, feel free to send a private message or email to a moderator or administrator.
Enjoy your time at the forum and…. FORZA VALENTINO ROSSI!!!!!
