Default attend MotoGp Sepang( VIP Package) - 22.03.2007, 11:29

Hi, i was wondering if any of u had been on escorted tours for any Motogp events. I know of one that is priced at USD1350 , its for MotoGP Malaysia 2007, fully escorted tour, from 19Oct to 23Oct, inclusive of airport transfers, hotel stays, city tour, transportation to and fro track, special events, free gifts, most importantly, participants get VIP passes for the paddock village. Im wondering if any of u had bought this sort of package or any GPs before, what do u think of this?

It sound like a good deal.
I treated myself to VIP tickets for Valencia last year. It cost me 800euros just for the tickets, I still had to pay for a hotel and had to get myself from Barcelona to Valencia so you deal sounds a great price if my conversion from euros is correct .

However it was the best money I ever spent, would do it again in a heart beat, just for the paddock access, after all I got some amazing pics of Vale and other riders and to see our man up close with my own eyes was out od this world, I would have paid more "for sure "

Hope this helps

Each of the countries packages are very different I believe. They all have these tour events but in each country they involve many different things...some are better than others and some are very expensive and they are not especially the best deals either.....(so I read on a web site a couple of years back by someone who attended the organized package deals each year but each time in a different country)

What race are you thinking about getting the package deal for?

if you get the chance, go to laguna! for $50 (in 2004 it was only $25!) you can buy a paddock pass, which allows you entry into the paddock area. you can get loads of autographs, photos, etc.
the v.i.p. village suite package is another thing altogether...air conditioned suite, food, free drinks, pit lane walk saturday & sunday, and access to the motogp paddock area at all times (with the regular paddock pass, you cannot enter 1/2 hr before the riders go onto the track, and you're kicked out 1/2 hour before they come back). but...the suites are considerably more expensive ($600 & up).

Last year we went to Sepang and bought tickets that got us above Pit lane and the podium area. It included being in an Airconditioned room with food and drinks provided as well as a programme. It was good in that we got lots of really good pictures of the riders as they arrived at the track. On the fRiday we were allowed down to the paddock area and got lots of autographs. But on the Saturday the rules seemed to change and we weren't allowed to be there and armed guards told us to go back upstairs. Which we did rather quickly I might add. But all in all it was a good weekend at Sepang.

This year we are as jet undecided on which tickets to get. Will have to try and sort out the "rules" and regulations first before we buy!!

There is an escorted tour from Australia that goes to Sepang every year. I will PM you the details if you would like them. The tour stays at the same Hotel as many of the riders do apparently.
