Oops sorry - blame my friend who has just named her daughter Jesse!

My husband has pointed out to me where my daughter gets her cowardice from as I always used to behave in exactly the same way on his bike...The differences being he would have ridden carefully with my daughter on the back and, secondly, he always let her get off, I don't remember him ever being so lenient with me.
