Gi, I think ALL Bulldogs are lazy.....it's one of their main attractions - take them outside to do their business and they'll sleep the rest of the day with exhaustion! But saying that they can move really fast when they want to.....often my old Bulldog would come so close to catching cats it was scary!

Gi, I've had 2 Bulldogs and fostered another......I'm hoping to get another Bulldog real soon......I've been searching for a few weeks now but the only ones that have appeared suitable are always sold when I phone up about them....I'm not giving in though & will keep on looking until I manage to find the right dog to join my family. I don't want a puppy, would rather have a slightly older dog....well over 2 years old or there about.
They are totally adorable dogs....& the only breed for me!

Gi, try asking for a Bulldog....your parents might let you have one of these....(ask your dad first - men seem to like Bulldogs a lot more than women for some strange reason???? )

That was so funny - I see what you mean about being lazy. I think the chimp took it well, all things considered.

Do I like puppies???? Well as they poo everywhere, won't do a thing you tell them to & chew up all your best shoes...erm, I just love them -NOT!

Gi, not many Bulldogs actually bark....they can bark just don't bother very often. I had my first Bulldog Winnie for something like 2 -3 years before I heard her bark and that was only a slight woof which she actually needed to build up to psychologically before she managed that....although my other Bulldog Charlie would bark on command (something he was taught to do before I adopted him)
Another unusual thing about Bulldogs....apparently less than half of them can swim! (I wonder how they found this fact out???? )

Oh my goodness - what a dreadful thought.

I just hope it was from very limited survey of bulldogs who were actually having swimming lessons and only the ones who got their 25m metre badge by the end of the course were deemed to be "swimmers" and the rest "non- swimmers". Any other option just doesn't bear thinking about.

Well my old dog just loved being thrown into the incoming water at the beach.....just as well she was one of those that could swim....or I would have been giving mouth to mouth to her!
But imagine my shock when I read this about them all not being able to swim...........many years after taking my dog to the beach every summer for some fun in the sea,
