Default In need of communication from Fan Club - 06.08.2007, 21:06

Hi, Yellow Community

I am hoping the Community reading this can give me some help, direct me to the correct person or have that person contact me. On June 22, 2007, I converted USA dollars into Euro and sent an international bank check for 96 Euro to Fan Club Valentino Rossi, Cesare Battisti n.5/a, 61010 Tavullia (PU) Italy, for two memberships. On June 30, 2007, I sent another letter detailing the sizes of the shirts I would need. On July 23, 2007, I sent an email to info@fanclubvalentinorossi.com inquiring whether anyone has received my funds for joining the fan club and if, and when, my friend and I are going to get our packages. Ruslan Tovberg (Trossik46) and I, Jossi Harhay, are going to Estoril for the race in September and were hoping (and requested) that we get our membership kits before attending the race. In my letter accompanying the international check, I put my email address and my home phone number. I have heard nothing from anyone representing the fan club, and I would really appreciate knowing that my check was received and that I will be getting two memberships. Please, Yellow Community, give me some feedback. Ohio, USA, is a long way for me to go knocking on anyone's door in Italy. Is there really a fan club out there? Did I send the check to a legitimate address? I got it off the Yellow Community forum. Thank you all you fans of Vale. , Jossi Harhay (Jossik)

It usually takes 6 weeks to get items after you first post the money to the fan club. If you shill haven't gotten you items after 8 weeks then FAX the fan club (don't send an email they don't always get read)
Did you send Euros or did you send a cheque? I don't think they take payment via cheques.
Did you write your address for the items to be posted to? I don't think the second letter you sent with your t-shirt sizes on will work.....they get really lots of people joining the fan club and I doubt they will actually associate your second letter with the first one you sent to them. You may just end up with 2 Large size t-shirts instead of what you wanted. Saying that, the t-shirts are very close in sizes to each other anyway.

Hope you get your items soon.

P.S. I've removed your email address for your own safety......you don't know who will see it and send you all sorts of rubbish....it's a safety thing, nothing else.
If you do actually want anyone to have access to your email address then by all means write another post and put it back again. (I won't remove it if you re-post it in another post/thread)

Default Communication from Fan Club - 07.08.2007, 01:09

Thank you, Angela

The second letter I sent incorporated my first letter, so actually the Fan Club received my first letter twice. My bank exchanged the dollar into Euros, so the foreign (international) draft was issued in Euros. The letter had both my posting address in the US and Ruslan's posting address in Israel. I was expecting some type of communication back, since I did give my email address in my letter, as both a courtesy and acknowledgement that my letter made it to its destination. That is why I was hoping by making this forum posting the representative person from the Fan Club would give me a thumbs up or thumbs down on whether they got my membership funds. Is this person a mystery person? I appreciate you looking out for me, Angela, and removing my email address.

And, Ms./Mr. Mystery Person, if you are reading this, I would appreciate knowing you received my letters. Thank you very much.

Jossi

Sorry you only get acknowledgement of your post arriving if you requested for such at the post office when you mailed the letter.
Did you send it so they had to sign for it at the fan club? (International Signed for Mail) If so you will need the receipt they gave you if you don't receive your items....it's your proof that you have posted the money to them.

Hi

One year I sent a bank draft in Euros ( from Australia) and they sent it back to me!! saying that they don't accept bank drafts. So from then on I have sent cash. Risky I know but so far so good!!

I don't know if this could be the reason for the delay in getting your gadgets or not.

As Angela suggested though I would Fax them or phone them I would not email them as they don't seem to read their emails or if they do they sure don't reply to them.

It is a shame that they are so difficult to contact - I think i might be prepared to deal with their e-mail in return for board and lodging in Tavullia and the occasional dinner out with the "boss".

That sounds just like the job I used to have except thank goodness I never had to go out with the boss.
