Okay, it is a long post and it will take sometime to read it, but hey you’ve got nearly three weeks ‘til the next GP will take place. This is a very simple test to find out if and how bad you are infected with VRV, you only need a couple of minutes, a sheet of paper and a pen. But please keep in mind: This is JUST FOR FUN! First let me explain what VRV means: VRV – Valentino Rossi Virus. This is a virus which infects mostly female and can be found all over the world. The global pandemic began in 1996. The infection is manifested by a sudden fever, acute high blood pressure, red face, uncontrolled screaming, loosing the ability of clear speech and even get unconscious when being exposed to the trigger in person. All this acute symptoms appear especially on race-weekends. Intensive exposure of the virus leads to a chronic disease, which affects the central nervous system and lead to strange behaviour. It is also known as Valentino Rossi Syndrome. Treatment is dependent on the disease process initiated by the virus. In most cases there is only one doctor being able to ease the symptoms – that is to say THE Doctor: Unfortunately an appointment with THE Doctor is hard to manage and a home visit by THE Doctor is nearly impossible. By the way there is no vaccine available. But everybody who’s already infected doesn’t really care and a cure is not welcomed anyway. Simply because it is a great state these patients are in. Please make two columns on your paper, one for YES and one for NO. Now answer the following statements and questions with YES or NO and make a cross, point, sun, moon, turtle or any other wee thingy that comes to your mind in the appropriate column. Then count all answers and check your mental finding on the bottom of this post. Let’s begin then: - On race-weekends all the symptoms mentioned above are quite familiar to you.
- Quick, think of any number! Was it 46 that crossed your mind immediately?
- You check at least once a day the forum and hope that someone posted a new picture you haven’t found on your own daily internet search.
- All your friends tell you that you look stupid with these sunglasses, but you wear them anyway ‘cos they are from IMATRA.
- You really consider naming your next or first born child Valentino or Valentina.
- You’ve already named a pet Valentino, Vale, quarantasei, M1, the doctor or any other name related to VR.
- You know the meaning of the Italian word tartaruga, although you are not able to speak Italian.
- Do you have difficulties to find Rome on a map, but you would find Tavullia with closed eyes right away?
- At least two of your passwords or usernames start or end with the number 46.
- When you hear IMATRA you don’t think of a town in eastern Finland in the first place. (not kidding - Imatra really is a town in Finland).
- You can choose any island in the world to spend your holiday in August. Would it be Ibiza?
- You finally know what the deathly hallows are. Oooops, wrong subject!! This does not count.
 - When you hear the names Max Biaggi or Casy Stoner you start spitting on the floor and cursing in many different languages.
- You have at least one Italian Beginners Book.
- Do you have at least 3 VR homepages cross-linked to your internet toolbar?
- You can hum the Italian national anthem and know at least the first two lines, although you are not from Italy.
- You once greeted a total stranger because this person wore a VR cap or T-shirt.
- You know what WLF stands for without being a native speaker of Italian.
- You watched all commercials from Fastweb, although you can’t use there services.
- For the Europeans amongst us: You stay up or get up early when the race is outside Europe.
For the Non-Europeans: You stay up or get up early when they are racing in Europe. - You watch interviews on YouTube etc. though you know you won’t understand a thing Valentino is talking about.
- Recently you’ve started hating the Bibendum (Michelin Man).
- Even if you are female words like: apex, highsides, lowsides, flag-to-flag rule, engine management system, traction control, 800cc etc. are no brainteasers to you.
If you are male just consider this answer as YES. - If you hear the word paddock you don’t think of horses in the first place.
- You checked even the other language rooms in the forum just in case they found something we didn’t – and on the same time you curse yourself for forgetting so much from the French lessons in school.
- You once tried to convince you boyfriend or husband that he would be looking really good with curly hair. - Okay, okay that would be too weird.
You answered all questions with NO : à Congratulation you are not infected with VRV but get out of this forum IMMEDIATELY. Don’t waste your time here. You are a hopeless case and doomed to live a very boring live without the excitement of motoGP. You answered more than half of the questions with NO: à You are infected with VRV, but your immune system is still fighting against it. You definitely should increase your daily dose of VRV and try the test again. You answered ALL questions with YES : à Diagnosis: chronic Valentino Rossi Syndrome. The virus has already affected the whole organism. In this state there is no cure available, you only can ease the symptoms by watching VR pictures and motoGP races. Don’t forget the meetings of the AVRSC (Anonymous Valentino Rossi Syndrome Club), also known as Yellow Community. You answered more than half of the questions with YES: à Diagnosis: acute Valentino Rossi Syndrome. The virus has not overtaken the whole organism (yet). Here as well there is no cure. Remember to be a part of the Yellow Community you have to suffer from chronic Valentino Rossi Syndrome. So, read all the threads, watch all pictures and videos in the forum and you are on the right path. Note: As I am no doctor or psychiatrist I’m not liable for malpractice! | Today
