IF YOU'RE the type of biker who replaces every standard part with a carbon-fibre part at every opportunity then you may just need the ultimate carbon fibre accessory; the carbon fibre toilet.
Back in 1981, McLaren, the Formula 1 racing team developed the first carbon-fibre chassis, since then carbon fibre technology has been used ubiquitously in racing cars, bikes and especially in aircraft where its unique strength and weight-saving properties have almost revolutionised the aerospace industry, and of course there’s also its use for stealth applications too. But, advanced as they are, McLaren never made a toilet, did they?
Obviously, when kitting out your bathroom, weight saving should be top of your list, and at 5kg this toilet is around five times lighter than your common-or-garden porcelain throne. At £500, it's not exactly cheap, but what price exclusivity?
