Yes, working in Iceland was really cool, but also pretty tough, I returned with a concussion and broken ribs...
Well, I think the lack of people had different reasons. One was really the weather, in the morning it was terrible, rain and wind and dark clouds, and every Chinese I know hates rain from the deep of his heart. Nearly all people around us were also expats, most Chinese aren't interested in racing and my colleagues at work didn't even know there would be a race although it's only 1 hour away. In addition, the ticket was very cheap for Europeans, would be around 30 Euros, but many Chinese have a salary of less than 100 Euros, so they would never have had a chance to afford the ticket. Plus, they are real patriots, so as long as no Chinese rider is competing, they aren't interested in the results at all. It's a shame. But nevertheless, the atmosphere on the ranks was really good, it felt like the whole Italian community of Shanghai had come to cheer |
Ni Hao, welcome to the forum. How very interesting story you told us Naela. I'm sure you will find it comfortable here. Very.... I saw at tv that only small crowds attent but no worries...things like that always happened at Malaysian too.

Lucky thing is...we can have Vale for ourselves....
