I'm new to this site and very new to posting/blogging etc., so please bear with me if I make mistakes. Have been a Rossi fan for some time and I'm getting on quite a bit now, I love watching the racing - Barry Sheene was my all time hero - I can still remember watching the Transatlantic Trophey at Oulton Park in Cheshire many years ago. On these lines, anyone catch the re-runs of GP's on ESPN - 'Brilliant'. Watched one the other night which I had recorded, from 1980, Silverstone, with all the favourites, Barry, Randy, Kenny, Vale's Dad - Great Stuff. Anyhow, this old lady is beginning to waffle now, I'll sign off.

Welcome to the forum mummy smurf.....and another member to join from Manchester too...wow there are getting to be a few from there on here now.
Don't worry about remembering the good old days of 'real' racing....I remember them only too well myself. Barry Sheene was the reason I first ever watched bike racing....if only to see how far he would push before falling off again (I know it's sick, but I was only about 10'ish at the time)

Thanks to everyone for my great welcome. I live on the north side of Manchester, Eccles to be exact (where the cakes come from!). Will try to stir up more friends to join the yellows, I'm sure they'll enjoy it.
Really looking forward to Estoril this weekend (will be watching the telly). Can't wait for Donnington praying there wont be rain this year. Usually go for the package advertised in MCN, great stuff, tend to look after you pretty well. Meet Steve Parrish, wicked sense of humour, with a guest of honour (Chris Vermulen year before last, lovely lad).

I too am "getting" on as you put it and can also remember Barry Sheene etc.. My favourite was Kevin Magee!! Mick Doohan was ok though and Wayne Gardiner too.

I still get ribbed about my "liking" of Kevin Magee

Cool I live just Outside Ashton Under Lyne, I always get my tickets from Donington Park Direct, it cut's out the middle man & the extra cost as well.
