Is anyone on ravelry? e.g. do any of you guys like knitting; I do extreme knitting! LOL
You wouldn't believe it, but there's a MotoGP knitters group! LOL
I don't seem to be able to buy the "sunburst" beanie (black, of course) in the UK, so I'm thinking about making my own version.
I tried to order 2 from the US, but the company tried to charge me US$180 for UPS shipping....not even I am THAT dedicated; that's just a rip-off!

Hx | Gothmum, I will try to help you if you would like. Mailing should only be about $15 or less I would think from USA to UK; and if I were to order the item and have it mailed to me, I think it would be about $5 to $8. Sometimes they base the shipping charge on the cost of the item.
Please let me know if I may help.

LOL yes I can knit too but had to stop when my fingers started to to out of shape with the wool wound around them. I started it up again for when my son was about to become a father for the first time but this time on bamboo needles (I was told they are not so hard on your fingers & in fact they are a lot easier to use & not so cold either) I'm so annoyed at myself that I threw out all of my knitting patterns that I had & my needles, stitch holders, stitch counters etc too.....I should have realised that I would eventually start knitting again some time or other.
So what good MotoGP knitting patterns do you have for a baby girl then? LOL
I'd love to find a cross stitch pattern of Valentino Racing his bike....how cool would that look?! Angela O from Liverpool-England XXXXxxxxxx (first registered 30/9/2002) | | Senior Master Sergeant | | Posts: 643 Join Date: 21.07.2008 Location: Roma

what is ravelry? God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things i can, and the weaponry to make the difference. Amen | | Top Corporal | | Posts: 94 Join Date: 16.06.2008 Location: Southampton, UK

Hey Jossik - how cool is that? If the offer still stands, please email me separately- thank you so much!
Ravelry is a forum for knitters, crocheters and others who love to make cool stuff out of materials...I think it is mainly for knitting and crocheting, right?
I was a bit disappointed with the MotoGP knitters; I thought they might have some cool stuff inspired by the MotoGP only to find out that they just like to watch it.
Sooooooo, I think I am going to make a beanie - how about one with guido RIP and yellow community around the bottom....or the tribe of the honeybadgers -much harder than chihuahuas.
I spoke to Woz, my husband about it and on our Macs, there's an option to "pixellate" any photo, so basically you could choose any photo you wanted and this function divides it into squares e.g. a knitting/crochet pattern. We used one of Vale pulling a massive wheelie! So, Angela, you could use any piccie you wanted...are you on faecesbook? LoL Heike aka Gothmum (or "Akasha") "For sure, I deserve it.
