Thanks for the input everyone...I guess I'll leave it with just the 1 foot then. Will show you it after I finish the face off then.
Speedy, I might take it for the auction at Donington, but to be truthful I only painted it because Jossi suggested I should, so really it's just another spare I've got laying around the house - for now anyway.

By the way....got some stickle bricks (thanks Speedy & Jossi for the ebay links) & wouldn't you know it, they don't work....I need something with the dots not in lines on top of each other but rather in lines with each next line to the center of the previous line (if you understand what I'm talking about?!! LOL)

You have to leave the foot out...because one...anyone that is sitting still on a motorcycle usually only puts their right foot down because the shifter is on the left...and you need to have that foot in position so when you start you can be quicker to shift. Also...watch some races...they usually have that one up and only their right foot down. it's perfect the way it is.

I gotta tell you that it's very cool that you ask us for our opinion...especially someone as talented as you. It helps us beginners not feel stupid when asking for help. Keep it up Angela...it's inspiring.

hahahaha....I asked about the foot because in the picture I copied from there was a starter motor at the back of the bike & so obscuring Vale's other foot (or so I suspect anyway)...I had to make a guess with the back wheel and where it would be on the ground...well truthfully I used one of my minichamp bikes as a reference really...but don't tell anyone will you!

Angela... you are a very talented woman...

A fight till the finish
A thrill ride till the end
What an adrenalin rush
What a way they did defend

It couldn’t have been scripted
Not ever, not even in a hazy dream
The excitement in the audience
Was like an electric stream

So the race started in a typical fashion
All setting out in a safe straight line
Lorenzo leading the warriors
Everything being sanely fine

All was as predicted, the top 3 of the grid
Were the top 3 in the race
It was evident that nobody else
Could match their stellar pace

Then in a while, the red bike fell back
Casey could not stick to the Yamaka team of two
So for the rest of the high speed race
The battle was between Vale and Jorge through and through

They were passing each other
In regular intervals as if it was the norm
But who knew it was a preparation
Who knew it was the calm before the storm

A battle royal got underway
A tempest it did bring around
Four laps of real racing in searing heat
It was a master class of show in the battle ground

Two top racers, at the top of their form
Bringing excitement and thrills, oh so fine
Jorge doing a very good job
And Vale taking his win number 99

Ok that's where I was last time...and I'm still there! I'm stumped! And it's not a good time either...Because I just found out that I'm going to Laguna Seca in two weeks! It's crunch time...I need to finish this painting so that Vale can sign it when I'm there. How cool will that be!?

About the blokes in the picture...if your not happy with them as they are...do what I do, turn the painting upside down and copy from the images that way...it really does work! Well it does for me anyway LOL

Did you try with cutting out an image of the backgrounds you are thinking of using and putting that over the picture you copied from to see what one looked the best....it really is a good way to figure out what one you think looks best. Maybe if you take a photo of each of the different backgrounds and look at the photo's to get a better idea of what one looks best to you....that also works (well it does sometimes)
Most of all don't pannic....saying that, I work best when I'm stuck for time...not sure why but it's just me being weird I guess LOL
