I was introduced to the Kings of Leon by Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders when Iggy Pop hosted a V1 Decade performance and Chrissie introduced Kings of Leon as a new band she admired. The performance also featured Shirley Manson from Garbage, she herself mesmerized by the fact that she had admired Chrissie Hynde, and here she was performing on stage with, who I believe, is one of the best lady rock singers of all times. And she grew up in Akron not far from where I grew up!
I really love this thread And here's the second volume of fantastic album covers
If I've never met you, I wouldn't like you. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't love you. If I didn't love you, I wouldn't miss you. But I did, I do, and I will... Forever...
Yeah, alright you young ones - 8 yrs old when G'n'R were first around...never mind; I love them! Downloaded the album today. Someone posted some photos of Axl; I've just read the unofficial biography published by Mick Walsh (ex NME/Kerrang etc) and Axl looks more like Mick Hucknall than Mick Hucknall (Simply Red)
I've also just bought "Dream" by The Cure and "Day & Age" by the Killers and also "Angel Dust" by Faith no More...only had it on vinyl....LOL
