Michael Jordan commissioned these drawings of Nicky Hayden, Valentino Rossi, and Colin Edwards for use on three pair of one-off laser shoes as gifts for the three winning racers at the Laguna-Seca International MotorGP races in Monterey, California this July, 2005.

But, having said that, I'm glad Michael made his fortune at something he was amazing at... instead of design... still think they're yucky! They look like leprosy has ravaged them...

They shoes do look a bit nasty, you are right...
But I have to say that if Michael drew them pictures from scratch: Not too bad - I know I wouldn't even come close to have anybody look like themselves...

I just think it is great that they have a likeness to Vale on them - it shows he is up there in the high opinions of many.
Personally I think they look awful but I appreciate the fact that they exist as they mean a lot to someone.
Just because you are not a top artist and cannot produce an image that will please all tastes does not mean you should be scorned for creating something that you like. | |
