during the races we have the race threads where all the news are posted...
but right now in the winterbrake we had a feeling the forum gets awash with whole threads about one single article
so we decided to open a "news thread"

The works Yamaha MotoGP team will launch their 2008 bike on Friday, January 18th, in Turin - Fiat's home town.
Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo will be riding for the team in the second year of a two-year sponsorship deal between Yamaha and the Italian car maker.
The Yamaha YZF M1 will be awaited with interest, as the Japanese fight back against the 11-race winning Ducati from 2007.
Yamaha opted for some different aerodynamics at Brno onwards in an effort to make up some speed, but it also suffered overheating problems in Germany and a barrage of criticism from Rossi at the close of the season as to the layout of the engine against a V4.
Rossi will be on Bridgestone tyres next year, while 250cc champion Lorenzo will ride on Michelins as he Yamaha team will operate a split garage.
Well I certainly hope they do something.....I really don't want another season like 2007!!! BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a fan of Stoner's F1 Motogp championship. It was impressive to see but I would really like to see the sport go back to where it was in 2000. The bikes were beasts and the riders really had to have a lot of skill to make those machines perform. Now it seems as if anybody can hop on one and win if you have the right bike and tyres. Look at Schumi when he hopped onto to Stoner's Ducati --- he was only a couple of seconds off of Stoner's race pace! I'm sorry but that shouldn't happen -- in any sport. And they should really take a hard look at what's happening here.
I absolutely agree!!!!
2007 such a boring year
HE IS BACK! HE IS STRONGER! HE IS THE BEST!!!!!! VALENTINO ROSSI 2008 WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!!

Thanks for the info Larisa. Now, do I try to steer my husband around to a skiing holiday near Turin again this year? That is about the time he is working on.Forgive me, I am desperate!
I have been preaching this for some time now. I think its a bigger problem and influence than most people give it credit for and I think that if we ever want to see the glory days of moto gp like 2000 and 2001 again, when races were FAR FAR more exciting and won on rider skill then all fans need to make a serious stand!!! I seriously beleive that this could be the cause for Rossi never winning a w.c again if somethings not done :-( I am 100% of the opinion that Stoner would not have won the W.C if there were no rider aids.
'auto pilot is for airplanes, not motobike racing.....get rid of traction control, bring back rider skill.....and the world championship to Valentino Rossi!'
