Yello!!!

Today in newspaper i happened to notice this article titled 'Would Rossi have been a better choice?' .. interesting.. have a look..

(second pic is bit shakey.. but its readable.. )

and i got the text...

HIGH OCTANE
Would Rossi have been a better choice?
Harish Samtani

Now Formula 1 has a pain in the neck too! Schumi’s much heralded return that would have temporarily brought excitement back to Formula 1 fizzled out. Instead of Schumi wouldn’t it be terrific if the daredevil on two wheels, Valentino Rossi, were to pilot a Ferrari? Formula 1 could do with a personality like that. He has all the ingredients that can bring Ferrari and Formula 1 back on track. Valentino is Italian, a world champion and young (!) The TRPs would go through the roof if one were to consider that the motorcycle racing fans would join the legions of F1 fans.
This would also fill up the empty grandstands at the circuits. However idealistic it may sound there is scope for this to happen as Rossi has tested F1 cars before and he was found to be reasonably quick.
And before I receive hate mail from Schumi fans let me be unrealistically idealistic and suggest that Schumi drives the other car! This would be the battle of the century
as the two wheeler community would put their might behind Rossi and a healthy rivalry will emerge.
If Schumi was reputed for his ability to drive a F1 car even on two wheels then Rossi won’t have a problem converting from two to four!
The next season could be a mixed bag with 26 cars expected to line up on the grid. New teams will be expected to perform from the word go because they will be unfortunately and wrongly equated to Brawn’s performance.
But the question that remains is how many more teams will fall by the wayside by then? If BMW couldn’t take the heat it is quite possible that sword of Damocles is hanging on another team or two. The rumour of Toyota’s exit was quickly extinguished but then we know that there is no smoke without fire.
The teams that will bite the bullet are more likely to be the bigger ones as they face the shareholders ire should they not perform. In this competitive world of commerce there is no room for complacency and non-performance. Toyota’s F1 chapter is going through a testing time and although it does show that it has the speed sporadically there is no significant sign that it can take on the top five constantly.
With Ferrari and McLaren finding their own progressively the task of remaining in the top ten will be an onerous one. Force India is optimistic that they will be contenders for points on a regular basis. This improvement will only be quantified once Mallya’s jinx is broken and Force India picks up its maiden points.
The continuous rule changes may result in dumbing down Formula 1 but the upside is that private teams are finding their place in the sun. Now all that is required is to find real characters to give the sport a fillip.
Let’s pass the hat around until we get about a hundred million Euros for a Rossi/Schumacher fund (annually) and watch them breathe life back into F1. What say? Or are you on the floor reeling with laughter at my over- optimistic idealism? Sigh!

Thanks for all the news! Lorenzo can be a good rider but he will hardly be another Valentino Rossi .

F1 again...rumours, rumours! I hope Vale sign again with Yamaha for 2011 season !

even if he's not in motogp (I hope he stays in two wheels too), I hope he won't be in F1. he's not comparable there. I'd prefer to see him rallying..

Formula 1 sucks.
Sorry but it's what I think.
F1 pilotes are puppets assisted by electronic gadgets.
Senna and Prost would hate what F1 became.

Valentino deserves much better than becoming a puppet in a red car.

On Visordown today:

Rossi: "My final race will be with Yamaha" - Motorcycle racing news: Moto GP - Visordown

VALENTINO ROSSI has spoken for the first time about why he has chosen Yamaha over Ducati for next year.
The Italian said: "Although the bike could be tuned for me and it would be very interesting to go to Ducati, because I believe the bike could progress further, I am very happy on the Yamaha and believe now that I will have my final race there.
"I believe that Jorge Lorenzo has made the right decision to stay with Yamaha because at this moment it is the strongest bike. Next year we will have the hardest battle, it will be very difficult to beat him. Jorge is good for me in the races, he is young and works very hard. He has great motivation and that helps me to continue and push.
"Jorge is a rider always goes very fast but from time to time he makes errors, but that is normal for a rider to do that at this time in their career.
"Pedrosa is very strong too but at this moment Lorenzo is more on form and has more chances for a win. Dani will have to work very hard for winning."
